ELIZABETH

HUXLEY

RESUME

Elizabeth Huxley is a classically trained character actress based in London.

​

Since graduating from Drama Studio London in 2011, Elizabeth has toured with various companies across both the UK and Europe, playing characters such as Belle in 'A Christmas Carol' and Hero from 'Much Ado About Nothing'.  Since returning to London, she has played prominent roles in Shakespeare productions including Alcibiades in 'Timon of Athens' (The Space), Calpurnia in 'Julius Caeser' (V & A Performance Festival), Titania in 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' (The London Theatre) and Celia in 'As You Like It' (The Gibbern Garden). She is a regular company member of 'Shake-scene Shakespeare', currently the only professional cue-based Shakespeare company, with whom she performs regularly.

Elizabeth is an experienced musician who plays piano, clarinet and flute as well as a number of other instruments and is a classically trained mezzo-soprano. She composed the original score for the 2016 musical 'Speechless', and is the musical director and resident composer of Shake-scene Shakespeare.

Following the success of several short films, Elizabeth is looking to move further towards Film & TV Drama, having a particular interest in modern adaptations & period drama.
